Refund & Cancellation Policy
This policy explains how cancellations, modifications, and refunds work for bookings made through the Brujo Platform. Brujo manages cancellations, modifications, and refunds through the Platform, and payments — including refunds — are processed through authorized third-party payment gateways, including Razorpay.
1. Bookings
- A booking is a confirmed reservation made by a traveller through the Platform for participation in a trip.
- A booking may include a seat reservation, payment confirmation, booking reference number, digital ticket, and a QR boarding credential.
- A booking is confirmed only after successful payment confirmation through the Platform.
2. Cancelling a Booking
- You can request cancellation of a booking directly through the Platform using your booking details, or by contacting Brujo Customer Support.
- Any applicable cancellation terms, charges, and refund eligibility for your booking are shown to you within the Platform before you confirm the cancellation.
- Once a cancellation is confirmed, you will receive a cancellation update through the Platform's notification channels.
3. Refunds
- How much is refunded when you cancel depends on how long before your pickup time you cancel:
- More than 48 hours before your pickup — the full fare and its GST are refunded.
- Between 12 and 48 hours before your pickup — 60% of the fare and its GST are refunded.
- Less than 12 hours before your pickup, or if you miss the bus — 0% of the fare is refunded.
- The service fee is not refunded when you cancel. If the organizer cancels your booking or the trip, or a case about your booking is decided in your favour, everything you paid is refunded, including fees.
- Refunds are paid by Brujo to the UPI ID or bank account you give (where possible, the same way you paid), usually within 7 days.
- Brujo tracks and displays the refund status of your booking within the Platform, and sends refund status updates through notifications.
- The time taken for a refund to reflect in your account may also depend on your bank or payment provider.
- Brujo maintains financial transaction records and takes measures to prevent duplicate or fraudulent transactions and to resolve payment disputes.
4. Trip Changes and Cancellations by Organizers
- Trips on the Platform are listed, created, and managed by trip organizers.
- If a trip is cancelled or materially changed, affected travellers are informed through the Platform's notification channels (such as cancellation updates and trip updates).
- Refunds for such cases are handled through the same refund process described above, based on the options communicated for the affected booking.
5. Payment Information and Records
- Brujo does not store complete card numbers, CVV numbers, UPI PINs, internet banking passwords, or payment authentication credentials.
- Brujo may retain limited payment references — transaction ID, payment status, timestamp, booking reference, refund status, and the last four digits of a payment card — where required for customer support, reconciliation, or dispute resolution.
- Payment records are retained as required under applicable tax, accounting, and financial regulations, even after account deletion.
6. Fraud Prevention
- QR boarding credentials are issued solely for the registered traveller and must not be copied, altered, transferred, shared, or used fraudulently.
- Brujo monitors for suspicious transactions and may withhold or investigate refunds connected to suspected fraud, abuse of the Platform, or violations of the Terms & Conditions.
7. Help with Cancellations and Refunds
- For any questions about a cancellation or the status of a refund, contact Brujo Customer Support at official@brujo.in with your booking reference.
- Brujo will make reasonable efforts to acknowledge and resolve legitimate requests within a reasonable timeframe.
- This policy is effective from 10 July 2026 (Version 1) and may be updated from time to time; material changes are published on the Platform with a revised "Last Updated" date.
